We lost some good venues this past weekend. FTG Warehouse in Santa Ana announced it’s closure as well as the iconic Brooklyn metal venue, Saint Vitus. Though we’re California based, the loss of any iconic spots affect the scene as whole. So this is a friendly reminder to go out and support your friends who are local artists and to support venues that provide a safe space for people to experience live music. New Music Recommendations

I’ve now listened to over 200 records that were released in 2024 and we’re about to get hit with a TON of new releases in the coming weeks. I recently came across this Slovakian band called Ceremony of Silence. This is one hell of an atmospheric and blackened Death Metal record. The track Light Runs Through Light specifically made me grimace from the riffs alone. Give this record a whirl. FFO: Ulcerate, Hath, Blut Aus Nord, Artificial Brain, Deathspell Omega and just all around bad vibes.
